David M. Garcia, D.P.M. is a Pueblo, Colorado native and has been treating podiatric patients since 1986. Dr. Garcia is married with three sons. He enjoys reading, exercising, cycling, skiing and travel.
Dr. Garcia started his professional career, not as a physician, but as a high school Math teacher in Boulder, Colorado. However, it was not long before Dr. Garcia, himself a long time athlete, decided to return to school to study podiatry to help athletes and others with their foot health.
After receiving his degree in Podiatric Medicine from the William Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Dr. Garcia did his residency at the Hines V.A. Hospital. There the focus was on foot surgery and treatment of the diabetic foot.
A former medical consultant to the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Dr. Garcia continues to treat many athletes, young and old, who participate in all types of sports.
Board certified in foot surgery for over 20 years, Dr. Garcia performs podiatric surgery of all types at most of the hospitals and surgical centers throughout Colorado Springs.
Dr. Garcia's office has been located in the Briargate area of Colorado Springs since 1990. During that time his practice has evolved into a family podiatric practice which treats a variety of foot conditions in both children and adults.
